process for finding #1 tdc

can someone please confirm if i performed the correct procedure?

put my finger over the #1 spark plug hole and cycled the engine until i felt pressure build up, at the "0" point on the damper, both intake and exhaust were closed - tdc for #1, no?

Yep, #1 cylinder is TDC on the compression stroke.
