Hello, newbie here. 1965 327 Coupe in dire need of paint and TLC.

Anyway, I have a question about production numbers. I see lots of websites (including this one), books and so on that show the production numbers of the different options that were on the different year cars. I have also seen refernces in some books that talk about combinations of options being rare; a made up example would be something like 'if you come across a 1967 fuelie coupe and an AM/FM radio then you should question it because very few of these were made' Again, that one was made up, but you get the idea.

Anyway, does anyone know of a reference that one could figure out those types of combinations? Or are those types of references made not from fact, but by looking at the production statistics and making some assumptions.

Granted, not all rare combinations are necessarily valuable, but I certainly would be curious to plug some combos in to see what came up.

I remember someone asking this same thing a while back. I don't think Chevrolet had combination production numbers. I'd love to know these. The valuable ones could be more valuable. Some of the combinations could turn regular cars into gold.

Buy Corvette restoration and tech guide Vol. 2 by Noland Asams,
and a Corvette Black book. Read 'em and get back to us.:J :J

Corvette Options

Check the Corvette Black Book. The book lists the model years and the quantities of options for that year. Example: L84 option; 327CI; 375HP; Fuel Injection (quantity produced 771)

Welcome

I do know if you ordered the 1967 L88 and it had a radio, auto trans, and a.c some thing would be wrong

If you had a 1966 L72 and it had a auto or a/c some thing would be wrong also.

I have tons of books that I have purchased and read.

I actually read noland adams Corvette restoration and tech guide Vol. 2 Book front to back and it wasnt untill I read some other corvette books that I understood what the corvettes midyears were all about.I then read nolands book again and said WOW this guy did a lot of work on this book,As you get more invoulved in your car you better understand his book and youll see why every one refer to it as sort of the bible of the midyears.I find I am constantly refering to his book for refrences.

Good luck and enjoy
