Does any one know how to program a brand new Keyless Entry Transmitter for a C5?

Please help

How does it know which remote is for driver #1 and driver #2 for a 2K Vette? I believe for the newer C5's (2001-2004), the remote has "driver #1" or "driver #2" printed on the remote. This is not the case for a 2K remote.

So, if your buying one for a 2K Vette from E-bay, how do you know if it is for driver #1 or 2? Can you program it for either driver?????

As I recall, driver one unlocked the car with their fob and then set the seat and mirrors, etc. to their liking and then held down one of the numbers to lock the settings. This also set that transmitter as driver 1 if the 1st memory location was set. Driver 2 would unlock with their fob and set their preferences and press two. As far as I figured the car remembered which fob was tuned to each driver. If you got the fobs switched you can override just by pressing the memory button in the car.

C5d...That remote is for 2001 and up. 2K remotes don't have a number on the back.

Gorgon..I will give that a try. Thanks!
