Pulling Front Clip?

Im looking for info on pulling the front clip off on a 1980 c3. The engine is already out an most of everything else in the engine bay is out also.

My advice is never to pull a factory installed clip if you do not absolutely have to. Is it a have-to case? What type of repairs do you need to make?
