Pulse wiper wiring

I purchased a "rebuilt" pulse wiper control assembly (goes in the jack stowage box behind the passenger seat) from S & S Corvette in Florida. It has right part numbers on it, right number of wires, but wiring colors are entirely different from my car. (1982 Collector's Edition), plus the wiring connectors are not alike at all.
Can anyone tell me:

1. How many years before 1982 (maybe after?) was the pulse wiper an option, or standard?

2. Anyone have the wiring diagrams for several years before 1982 (maybe after, too)?

3. If I can "translate" the wiring from my car into this "box" and "hard wire" it together, what are the chances it'll work? (assuming the box itself is actually works). I have power up to the old box, had none out of it, thus no wipers.

Well I can tell you that the pulse system was on my 80. If the plug doesn't match then it is most likely not the right one for your car. 82 was a year of changes and like the 78's there maybe early and late models.

I can tell you that I don't have the "control module" in my '79. As far as I can tell, the pulse circuitry is right in the wiper motor case, in mine. Should help narrow down your search.
