Just bought the LT1 metal line from Zip to join my Carter pump to my 4150 Holley. The line is the right shape but none of the threads match. Do I need to buy the LT1 fuel pump, and if I do will it fit the mounting on my L48?

Is there a different metal line I could be using?

You probably need a brass fitting for the pump-one that screws in the pump and the other end accepts the fuel line.

Most OEM fuel pumps have a female SAE inverted flare fitting to accept the male SAE inverted flare fitting on the pump-to-carb line; most aftermarket pumps just have female NPT tapered pipe threads at the outlet, to accept adapter fittings. To use your aftermarket pump (which gains you no advantage at all over the original factory pump), you'll need an adapter fitting that's male NPT tapered pipe thread on one end, and female SAE inverted flare on the other end, assuming your pump outlet is oriented correctly so the fitting ends up in the right place to accept the new line. Or, you can just get an AC-Delco replacement pump for the LT-1 that already has the correct fitting as part of the pump.

Bought an NPT adaptor from NAPA and everything went together fine and dandy. Guess I was just making a mountain out of a molehill.

Thanks for all the help.
