I just recived my chassis detail kit Any one here have any advice for me? Has anybody else done it to there car

John I am asking about all of the above.I have read the instructions several time's that have came with the kit.(I should say note's) And I still have questions they show a number should go on the rear end housing on the top (what number should it be)it states a daub (what is a daub) how was it created,Was it just a brush in a paint pail that they just swiped on? or dripped on? Do you have any pictures of a properley detailed frame or know where I can find some I can sure use it

Larry - I thought Quanta had pretty detailed instructions on where the chassis markings were -- steering box, tie rod ends, driveshaft, frame stencil etc and what color went where. A duab of paint is in my words defined as follows -- if you were to take a 1" round paintbrush like the one you use for parts washing -- dip it in paint lightly -- and then put a dab of paint straight on the spot. I thought Quanta supplies all that in theri kit.
Regarding the frame stencil I would suggest you cut it somewhat so that it fits on your frame rail and you can tape it. MAKE SURE YOU TAPE IT SECURE AND FLAT. Then hit it a couple times with the can of spray paint that came with the kit. They suggest doing it another way however I did not have any luck with their method. I woud suggest you try first on some samples.

good luck

Yes there intructions are VERY clear on where to put the marks but not how to put them there.the brush,s they give are acids brushes. Do you know any think about the number on the rear end?

Call me crazy but I am SO EXCITED about doing this entire chassis detail and bottom of the car detail.

I absolutely love working on the car. I am enjoying this more then bringing it to car shows.

Do you have any picture or know where I can find some.I have dilagently been looking on ebay auctions but I have not seen any detailed chassis yet. Thanks Again I have to go thru my collection of books again and see what I can find.
