I read the poll about q-jet carbs., and the
''jet performance stage 1'' got my interest. is it a rebuild kit that i can get at my parts store?
What does it consist of ? it's for my 78 totally stock motor.

Just one more question, right now, it takes me at least 40 pumps
of the gas pedal to fire it up! when it does start, it runs great!
really smoothe and strong!!!!

I know i need a rebuild, but, am i correct in guessing that all those pumps aer caused by a really bad accelerator pump?

Thank's very much! gary.

Not necessarily. Believe it or not you may have the wrong fuel filter (without a check valve).

Anyhow, I bought a reman (almost new) Edelbrock QJet from Summit. I love it! The car starts with one pump, even after a week. The secondaries work, and the car goes like a scalded cat.

So take your pick...

Thank's Page! I did'nt know fuel filters had ''check valves''.
Is this for real?!:confused

Anyone else know anything about the jet performance thing?

''jet performance stage 1''

I don't believe this, the majority of user's on this site preffered
the''jet performance stage 1'' q jet rebuild, but nobody knows anything? What's going on?:z

Dang old polls. Personally I stick with the (almost) new Edelbrock Q-Jet!
