Quad - Jet Carb

I have a pretty good hesitation on my 81 when I punch the gas. If I haven't warmed up enough it wants to die on me. Should I go ahead and spend $125 and rebuild it or is there a way to tweak it any?

If it's never been rebuilt, I'd suggest getting it done. I just did mine last month, and WOW. Didn't realize how bad it really was.
Alot of people will bash the Q'jet but if it's rebuildable, the Q'jet is a very realiable street carb.

Lance, make sure the mechanic verifies the throttle plate is good. if the bushings are worn,the rebuild will be a waste. imho, a Q-jet 0s a fine carb
