question about interior color code

I am restoring my 81 black corvette and i am confused about the color of the interior.One website says code 672 for 1981 is dark red, another website says 672 is cinnibar. Are the colors one of the same or are they two different colors, and which one is mine?:confused I would like to order new interior but dont know what color.Any help will be greatly appreciated. Also the website that listed cinnibar as 672 also listed dark red as 742.Thanks for any help you can give me. hotrodjoe

Two different colors...672 is Cinnabar (leather), while 722 is Red. Some websites may consider it dark red because it looks slightly darker than 722 red...but it is a completely different color. Hope this helps.

Joe..... my '81 has the relatively rare Cinnabar interior. Cinnabar was ONLY available in the 1981 model year. The correct code is: 67C (cloth) seats. 672 is Cinnabar (leather). I don't care how many times I see those codes listed as "dark red", they are wrong. Cinnabar it is. I'd love to see a black '81 with a Cinnabar interior. Good luck and post some pics if you can.
