1974 Metalic Blue L-48 Coupe 4 speed
Hi,

I'm new here. I'm from New-Brunswick, Canada.

I've just bought a 1974 Corvette Coupe L82 4 speed manual transmission.

Can someone tell me how many Corvette Coupe that came with a L82 package and 4 speed transmission in 1974?

The reason I'm asking is because I'm wondering if it does raise the value of the car since it's probably rare to have a L82 package combined with a rare 4 speed.

I know that in 1974, they did produce only 32,028 coupe and 5474 convertibles. That makes 37502 Corvettes in Total and only 6690 of them where L82 packages. Then only 3494 of them were 4 speed manual transmission. Also the fact that the 3494 four speed manual transmission are all divided between the convertibles, coupe then L48, L82 and LS4. That means it is probably rare to find a 1974 Corvette Coupe L82 4 speed.

So does anybody know how much they made like mine? and is it raising the value of the car or make absolutely no difference?

I havent got it appraised yet but can someone tell me how much this car could be worth? I think I got a pretty good deal. But still just wondering what you guy's think it's worth considering it is in very very good condition.

Thanks

Won't make a lot of difference now. Give it a few more years... then you may see a larger spread.

Nice Car! and welcome!

Wow !!. Thanks guy's. And thanks Vettehead Mikey. It's always nice to hear that my car is one of the most desireable in 74. I've been looking for a while and tried alot of Corvette before finding this one. And I'm very happy that I didn't buy the first one that I've test drived. Patience got me the car I have today and I love it !!!

seems someone swapped out the front clip for a newer one, won't affect the value much as most vettes are modded to some extent nowdays.

Yup, They did put a spoiler on the front bumper and a spoiler as well on the back of the car. Looks really nice. hope it's not gonna affect the value

it would be a death sentence for a bloomington gold quality car, but for most of us ,you change it to suit your wants and needs. As long as you don't do anything hideous to it you won't have problems selling it later if u want.

74Bigblock.. I know this is of topic....

I noticed your times at the track, I am always curious to see what other cars on here have done with the engine specs they have.. my L-82 sits on a stand down my cellar, but when I took it to the drags, I was always afraid to spin the tires of the line, because it cost me time. ofcourse it always cost me at the other end of the track.. but even with a slow take off I would always run 105mph at the other end. the very last time I took it to the track, was when I got my dunlops 275's I said what the hell, I'll SPIN THEM A BIT, I launched at about 2200 rpm, the tires didn't even chirp, these tires stuck.. well almost at the end of the track, I missed 4th gear and ran 14 sec flat at 106mph that as with a .477 lift cam a set of fuelie heads and a 700dp If I recall right I had 11.1 pistons running on 93 octane... I wish I had an experienced driver in there to give me some honest 1/4 times.. sorry to ramble on here, when I see someones et at 105mph it makes me wonder what kind of et that motor could make..

ET and trap speed are not necissarily correlated directly. I can tell you that I will have a much better ET next time I go up to the track (the #'s in my profile are from my first time to the track ever). I was struggling with my plug wires grounding out, as well as a rear end that was only held in by 1 bolt (found that out a few months later when I lost a T-arm bearing) causing my 60' times to be into the mid 2's.
