Hi! John

I read a couple of you postings where you recommended a washer when mounting an aluminum intake manifold. Is there a particular type of washer that you would recommend? I just got my 340 HP engine back from the engine machine shop and would like to get everything buttoned up as soon as possible.

As Always, Thanks for your help!

I can help

Ray,

Not that it's any of my business, but the washers you are looking for are the small, zinc plated, stainless washers, sold by most of the resellers for the aluminum manifolds. They are in the latest Paragon catalog, ( page 16 ) and the part number is 312K-12.

Tweelve per package for only 4$, they have a small enough OD to be almost unoticable under the bolt head. :ugh

Hope this helps

Glad to be of help when I can. John has got a lot of post's to respond to, and he is too much of a gentlemen to not respond to the multitude of questions that are addressed to him. That being said, when ever it's an issue I can contribute to, I am more then happy to do so. :beer
