Hi just purchased a vortex ram air with carbon fiber air bridge for my 02 convertible. I bought this system used from ebay. I recieved the package today and everthing looks great except for one thing. It's missing a little air pump filter which i believe conects to a 3/4" hose by the stock air box. Anyway's the instructions say that this filter does not get inserted into the air box, but gets stapped next to it to intake warm air. I wanted to now if this part is very important and if i cant get my hands on one how could i get around it. I guess people with this system might understand what im talking about. Hopefully this is not a major part to the system that will cause it to not work right.

I would appreciate if someone could help me on this. Thanks!

It's a small filter that mounts into the hose that attached into the stock housing. That hose does not go into the Vortex box. The hose end needs a filter. Contact Breathless Performance and see if they will send you one or ask them where you can get one.

You can run with the hose bare but you run the risk of the motor ingesting something other than air.
