Question Posi-traction

Could somebody explain the difference between Posi-rear as opposed to a standard diff. Thanks!

A limited-slip differential or "Posi-Traction", "Posi" or "Posi-rear" allows the powertrain to transmit torque through both rear tires when accelerating, yet it still allows differing wheels speeds when the car turns.

A standard differential transmits torque through only one tire.
