Does Anyone Have Any Info On Installing A Trailer Hitch To A 79. Not A Camp Trailer, Just A Small Luggage Trailer So We Can Travel Without Buying New Clothes Every Week. I Have Thought About Using The Spare Carrier And Carry A Can Of Fix A Flat Like On The Streetrod, But The Carrier Case Seems Very Un-weather Proof.
This Is The Most Used Page On My Computer, And I Know Almost Nothing About These Gadgets. It,s Neat To Be Computer Illeterate And Still Get Answers You Need.
Thanks
Dave

Check Eckler's.

They sell them and I bet they come with instructions. I have wondered why anybody would put a hitch on a Corvette, now I know.

I have a hitch that was on my 1980 when I bought it. I'd be willing to sell it to you cheap. I also have the wire harness for the trailer lights. The only catch is I'm in Korea right now and won't be home until 15 March. If you can wait a couple weeks, let me know. By the way, both are in excellent condition and are a snap to install.

I have thought about doing the same thing. I like to take more trips with the vette, but there is no place for clothes and stuff. My dog takes up all the room behind the seats. The 78-82s don't have room for a luggage rack like the earlier C3s so the only thing I acn think of is a small luggage trailer; something like the motorcycles use.

It would be kinda fun to load the tent and stuff and take a trip down the coast hyway without having to stay in motels all the time or taking the big Suburban.
If Streetrod doesn't want it I may.

If Streetrods doesn't reply in a week or so, I'll give you dibs on it. Like I said, I'm military, stationed overseas, but I'll be back on 15 March so I won't be able to ship it out until after then. I'm just looking for what it costs me to mail it, plus a little extra for handling fee. I'm also throwing in the light harness. I really just want the stuff out of my garage, because I'm moving to Italy this summer. If you're interested, send me an e-mail or private message. Thanks.

FINALLY GOT BACK ONLINE. HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO SHIP, AND THE HANDLING FEE? THE GREYHOUND BUS OR POST OFFICE, DEPENDING ON SIZE AND WEIGHT, MAY BE THE CHEAPEST. I'M VERY INTERESTED, BUT A LITTLE SHORT RIGHT NOW. HOPEFULLY BY THE TIME YOU GET HOME I CAN DEAL WITH YA. I'M AN OLD MARINE SO KNOW ABOUT BEING ALL OVER THE WORLD WHEN YOU WOULD RATHER BE HOME.
