I looked on Edmund's for a price for the '03 I posted about earlier and found the price to be much more than 37,990.
This car had both tops. I added it up using the Black book and got more than $45,000. I didn't see the sticker so I don't know everything that was on the car. That said I scanned eBay for some prices and this car didn't look that far off. Are these cars listed on ebay for real? Some are from dealers. I wonder why they would go on eBay to sell new cars. I'm curious how that process works, anybody bought one like that or know someone that knew someone that did? They seem to think or advertise they would just ship a car to someone sight unseen. Seems scary to do that. Thanks for the replies.

I work for a dealer and we DO put cars on ebay...new and used....it just opens up more opportunities to move metal..You have to remember when looking up values of vehicles in one of the "books" that they are guides. Your best "guide" is what is out there for sale already and their average prices. Remember also that if you see a high priced one it may be high priced but it also may not sell for a long time. Buying unseen can be tricky jsut do your research and get lots of pics...we send an average of 20 to 25 pics to potential customers to give them a good overview of the vehicle. Do a carfax HOWEVER remember with carfax only information that gets put IN shows up. Not all info gets in the reports. Plus when you look at a carfax report it shows EVERY title transfer from the factory to dealer, dealer to cust, cust back to dealer etc etc...so it may be a 1 owner car and show up on carfax as having 5 owners. Good luck...

Prices

I used the Corvette Black Book to price this car when it was new.
