Hello all –
I’ve been lurking for about a month and found TONS from great info from youz guyz.
Picked up my new 82 and I am lovin’ it. The car is in pretty good shape. The previous owner had new brakes and paint. I had new suspension bushings installed and the posi-traction rebuilt. I think the major safety items are good to go. Any other things I should check out?
My 82 lives at my home away from home, so I will be starting form scratch as far as tools etc. go. Any tips on essential tools? …nice to have tools?
I will also be starting form scratch as far as my repair knowledge goes. I do bring enthusiasm and a desire to learn. Probably from my mistakes.
I picked up a factory shop manual and a parts micro fiche Ebay. Any other reference material recommended?
My 82 is all stock with 66K miles. I think I’ll keep it that way for the time being.
Thanx for all the info in the pervious posts; and for you future patience with my dumb questions.
Y’all have a good one,
Scott
