Quickest ET on a D36 A4?

Quickest ET on a D36 A4? i am just curious lets hear them times! before i left for my trip i seen a 85 vette with a nice setup on skinnies and ET Streets with a stock 3.07 D36 A4 running 11.8's.

setup was SR/219 cam/3000 stall/ET Streets/Skinnies

don't know the rest of the setup but i'm sure he'll be at the track alot this year.

so far in my 87 i've hit a best of 13.26 at 104.88 mph with a 1.80 60' my friend's 86 broke his D36 running 13.0's. is this guy's D36 a freak of nature?

i've been 11.91 with a 1.64 60' on my D-36 with the 3.07 gears. with M&H drag DOT 305-40-16

if you go to corvetteforum.com and look in the drag race section there's about 4 guys going this .

BTW my combo was stock with 1.6 RR and 1-3/4 LOng tubes with dual 2.5" ex. and a 150 wet kit right off the line

What exactly is "stock" with 1.6 RR and 1-3/4 Long ...........Blah blah...

I don't mean to P*** anyone off but HELLO you are not exactly stock anymore....

It's kind of like saying my 86' is stock with a 502ci with NOS!!!!!

It's not but just saying...

Again not trying to be anoying or meaning to aggrevatte a situation just curious?

yep. actually the car went 12.24 COMPLETLY STOCK and of course the wet kit.

Don't get upset, i'll help ya if you need it.

No prob guy's, I just kind of chuckle at this STOCK thing, It seems if there has been one MOD done it is'nt really stock, I understand what you are trying to say, but to add the wet kit what mods did you have to do.


I would not say my car is completly stock, when I got it, it had the cut lid, air foil, no precats, am I still stock???

Dang... this reminds me of a discussion from YEARS ago on another Corvette forum, back when they were still just email reflectors. Apparently to some people, a car was no longer stock when you replaced the tires! So there was this huge thread about driving down to St. Louis (this was aimed at those whose cars were built there) and scrounging for rubber particles by the side of the road, to put them back into a real (original) tire. Or trying to recapture original factory interior "air." to fill them with .
