:confused Ok Everyone whats the best way to get my 350 Trans out of my 72 corvette, Be sides letting some one else do it. Factory automatic cross member, Welded in.Do I pull the motor and trans,Pull the trans mount out to get clearance for the bell housing bolts. Or????? I`ve pulled lots of automatics before but not in a My Corvette. :w Rex

my personal opinion is engine and trans together, its just easier that way.
while its out swap it for a 700R4, you will be glad you did, the welded crossmember might be a hinderance though

Rex, is this originally an auto trans car? Only reason I'm asking is I thought C3's with auto had a removable crossmember. Mines a manual trans so I'm a little weak on autos. Charles

welded

It looks like to me it`s welded from the factory, Think I`ll just pull the motor and trans together,I would like to put in a 700R just have to see how much money i can come up with .Thanks all . Rex
