Radial Tires on a 57

Hi does anyone have good or bad experience with radial tires on a C1 ?
I'd like to mount WWW radials on my 57 !!! but I'd like some info on wich tires works best on the C 1.
This 7 December I will own my 57 for 30 years and I'd like to pamper it with some nice radials!!!

first all, you only have 4 posts on here since June of 2004? you need to visit more often.

next, if you have been driving around in that '57 on bias ply tires for the last 30 years it's definitely time to upgrade to radials. Radials should give you much better performance on your handling and better traction and probably better ride quality also although it's been so long since I had a set of bias ply on a car I can't remember if there was much of a difference on the ride quality or not.
go for the radials!
Diamond Back tire has the white wall tires you want for the vintage look but in modern radials. i've never dealt with them but they seem to have a good reputation from people that have.

I bought my 57 in 1991 from the original owner's widow with Michelin 185-15 redwall radials (TR-6 original equipment) on it. Since then I've replaced them with Uniroyal Tiger Paw 215:65R 15 redwall radials (out of 8 tires 6 developed bubbles and tread separations) and in 1999 replaced them with a set of Dayron Daytona SR 215:65R 15 redwalls radials from Diamondback Classics (see website noted above).

My car was "rode hard and put away wet" but not abused for the 34 years prior to my ownership. After over 45k miles (a great deal of them above all legal speed limits!) I would never even consider putting those skinny-arse pie-pan bias ply tire wannabes on my car!
