Radiator Cap - Pressure Rating?

Just picked up a Stant 11331 - which has a max psi of 16. Factory manual and existing cap have a max psi. Unless I forgot my freshman physics, a higher pressure cap will force the engine to run hotter before venting to the resevoir. Did I select the wrong Stant cap. '94 Coupe.

Post script: Just visited the Stant web site. They don't make a 15psi cap, only 16's.

My 86 uses a 16 lb cap.

Your car needs a 15 lb. cap. Go to a dealership and get the right one. Shouldn't be very expensive. I think mine was about $12.
