When draining the coolant in a '94 LT1, what kind & size of container
should I use (where to obtain)? Also, any tips to consider for flushing the system before refill? One last thing. Do most of you use an already blend of 50/50 Coolant or the straight-up Coolant and then add water? Thanks a heap!

I use a oil pan, you know the plastic things you can get anywhere. Works for me, any old thing will work as long as it will hold the coolant.

Why do you want to flush the system, is the coolant off color?? If you do decide to flush just use plain water.

I usually mix the coolant, just case it seems to be cheaper. I always mix before putting in vehicle, if you don't you wont know what you got.

For convenience I would get the 50/50 Premix.

FYI, you will need to pull the knock sensors to drain the block if you wish to do so.

I don't use the mix. Costs more. I also like to mix it just a little on the rich side. I use distilled water for refill, keeps the system in much nicer shape. You don't get the mineral deposits.
