Rag Joint Replacement

I started having a lot of slackness in my steering and it turns out the rag joint is the source of the problem. On first glance it appears like a very unpleasant chore to change it. Let me know your experience.
 
You have to remove the bolt completelt as there is groove it fits into. Spray a littel Pb blaster on it and you shoudl be able ro move the top retainer up, you might have to loosen the 3 mounting bolts on the box so you have room to remove the joint. There is a flat on the shaft for late 69 -82 cars so it'll only go on one way. Use a new GM joint don't use the cheap $10 kit. Go to www.gmotors.com and order one. Late 69-82 (flat on shaft)
