I've seen it done in the Chrome vinyl and unless its done right by a really good shop it ends up looking like....well vinyl. I didn't want to break the heart of the guy who had it done on the rear bumber and let him know what i actully thought of it. But i'm sure if its done right it would look good.

Yeah,I dont know...I think I'm just gonna leave mine the way it is.What I was planning on was maybe some pinstriping highlites around the lettering,the vents,etc.But if I do,I still cant decide what color.My 79 is dark red.Check out my site at www.msnusers.com/cutlasscorvetteworkinprogress I have 78 Cutlass pics,too.Click on "pictures",theres 3 pgs.

Wow! your car looks awesome!! I'm sure the picture doesn't do the paint justice. I have black double 1/16 inch pinstriping on the fenders, bumper, nose of my vette and it really sets off the body lines. The car came this way and i happen to like the way it looks. Its very subtle but doesnt come off as gaudy. If you check out my photos in the gallery you won't even notice their existance.

Thanks...Actually its not as good as it looks,as far as rock chips everywhere,most notibly the front spoiler and in front of the rear wheels.I have some computer matched touch up paint for now.Yeah,I dont want overly visible accents stripes,just some enhancement.I used to have a bright yellow 77(as you saw on the site),that was hit head-on at 50 mph by a 17 year old girl.It had better paint and a slightly worse interior,but I got a 3rd place trophy with it,before it went to Corvette Heaven.I think I'll go find your pics now!By the way,silver was one of the colors I looked for,as my replacement vette.
