Hi Guys,

I recently bought a '72 Stringray which came with a set of Firestone WIDE-OVAL bias ply tires on it. I would like to keep these for shows but was hoping to get another set of 15x8 rally wheels and put radials on them for day to day driving. So here's the question: when looking for a set of rally rims, what should I be looking for? Are there serial numbers that I could look for? Are the rally rims for the late 70's early 80's Vettes that same wheels? Are there different backspacings I should be aware of?What should I watch out for? I am hoping to find some at a Swap Meet but don't want to buy something that doesn't fit. Thanks for your help!

All 15x8 corvette rallys are the same backspacing from 69-82.If you are wanting to stay correct there are date codes near the valve stem. Also the ralleys that you want should have the code AZ next to the valve stem. Also,a little bit of advise, buy new ones .The used ones arent much cheaper than new ones if any and the used ones will probably need to be blasted and painted but the new ones can be lightly scuffed and painted.
