There is a rattle coming from the top of my 96 coupe (drivers side) when driving on a rough road. Checked all the tie-down bolts and they are all tight. Has anyone else had this kind of problem? If so what's the fix??? :bash

Mine was a loose bolt that secures the top. I tighted it and the problem went away. Can't you hit the top with the heel of your hand to try to find the rattle?

Remove the top and look at the 2 bolts on each side that holds the mounting plate to the top,My guess is that 1 or more are loose letting them move around when you hit rough roads!!!:thumb:thumb:thumb

Will try that!!!! Did not think about the mounting bolts. That must be the problem. Thanks for the reply and pics. !!!!!!!!!!

Did that fix the problem? (I have the same problem but it's not the bolts in the roof panel. I've tried everything but taking the upper windshield apart!)
Under the interior garnish across the windshield under it there are 2 bolts on each side, they may be loose!:thumb:thumb
Whats sucks is you'll have to remove the visors, for some reason 1 of them will just always screw with me!:bash
