Rattle in the middle of dash

I need help finding an annoying “soft” rattle inside the center of the dash? It’s more of an intermittent clicking or tapping that almost sounds like a small electrical relay making and breaking. It maybe coming from behind the radio or HVAC controls. Anyone elase had this problem? It's a 2001 Coupe.

HI there,
I would ask if you have had the center console apart, like for a shifter????
If not, I would say that you will have to look behind the bezel, and see if there is anything loose with the radio or the HVAC control head.
If you push on any part of the IPC, do you get any change in the noise?????
Sometimes also, I have seen the soft sided felt be mispositioned on the bezel itself.
Please let us know and we can proceed.

Thanks c4c5 for the leads. I'll feel my way around and see what I can find. Is this something you and your dealership would want to take a look at? I know Chevy probably expects you to find it and finish fix it in two hours but I'd be willing to suppliment that figure so you could take your time and do the special treatment. Or have you do it on your own time under a $pecial arrangement.
