What were the rear axle ratios offered from the factory on the aurtomatic equipped 1993 Corvettes? Mine has 2:59's .

I want to autocross in the stock class, but I don't want to run the 2:59's and I know that you can run another ratio if it was offered from the factory that year.

Another question would be, if 3:45 gears were offered with the 6-speeds, could I run those with an automatic and still be in the stock class, or can you just run with what was offered for the automatic that year?

Thanks

The 'performance' ratio for the auto is 3.07.
I don't have a clue if using the 3.45 ratio is okay for autocross in the 'stock class'. It probably depends on the sanctioning body.

I'm not autocrossing now so I don't have any current rule books. I'm sure an NCCC or SCCA guy/gal will jump in here and give you a good answer.

Depending on where you want to autocross, if you don't ask or tell, you can probably get away with it.

2 more things:

1) The sanctioning body that I race in is the SCCA.

2) Where is a good place to get prices for the 3:07's? I had someone check Richmonds(?) and all he could come up with were 3:08's.

Thanks

I did a quick look at the MidAmerica catalog and found rebuilt stock 3.07 units there for 1100 + shipping and core charges. That's probably a good starting point.

Check with your local GM recyling place (junk yard) and see if they have one. Never can tell when someone will wreck a late C4.

Good luck.

Holy crap! $1100 bucks?

The 3:08 Richmonds were $190 and with master bearing kit and labor it all came to around $700.

I think I'll keeping looking.

Thanks
