Hi

My intentions are to sell my 96 C4 and replace it with a C5, not because of anything wrong with my C4 but l would like a little more cargo space for my golden retriever.

The question is how much bigger is the C5 rear cargo space compared to the C4. l'm talking about floor space and height from the floor of the cargo area to the rear glass.

As much as l like the C6, for the money l would rather get a C5.

Thanks

Alan

Alan:

The brochure for the C5's show that the coupe has just under 24 cubic feet, don't have a C4 brochure to compare.

However when you view the two together there is considerably more room length and width, but the height is probably pretty much the same in both cars.

How do you get the dog in and out without damage? The only dog that I have allowed in my Corvette was a blind date. Sorry, female CAC members. :(

I drove to and from Berlin with my Norwiegan Elkhound (he's 43 pounds!!) and three pieces of luggage. I love the room in the back!!!

I pop the hatch, pick him up, and place him in the back. He doesn't mind riding in the back unless the sun is really bright.... then he gets hot.

How to get dog into vette!

Hi

The first thing that l did was buy a cover (leather) for the glove box. Then l cover it with a towel, then l tell him to get in and he hops right back into the cargo area. His nails have never hurt the passenger seat at all.

When l want him to get out l he gets out the same way he got in.

Real simple.

My dog comes first before anything, but if he hurt the seat in any way l would cover the seat.

In fact l was looking for a set of seat covers that cost under $100 but all they have is covers for regular seats. They only made for std seats.

But again my controls are not on the seat so why they will not fit eludes me.

Alan

p.s. I'm going to start a thread in the C4 section.
