I just reciently began driving my 81 Corvette/Auto Tran. last summer. It had been sitting for about 10 years. Is there any important components I should look at for safty reasons??

If its been sitting for that long I wouldn't drive it until I went through it good.

Things that will go bad:
Brakes
rubber hoses
condensate in the oils
tires
fuel system

Change the diff fluid using the proper GM posi additive.

If it sat for 10 years the brake fluid will be 20% water.
