2003 with 16K miles. Just saw oil on garage floor and right in the middle of rear axle. Small amount. Just took it out on Sunday for an hour ride. Could this be coming from the rear end gears (possible gasket) or other issue? Anyone experience similar? Thanks for any thoughts. Will have to take it in next week.

Yep, had the same problem on my 2003 and I know of three or four other 03 owners with the same problem. There is a tech bulletin out on the problem and your dealer should be able to tell you what is entailed in the fix. It isn't a quick fix as the rear end has to be dropped and as I recall it is a problem with the left half shaft where it goes in the transaxle. Mine was fixed under warranty but I bet the cost isn't trivial. Good luck.

Thanks for the feed back. Based on what I have read along with input from you and others it looks like it could be the rear left axle seal....a problem on numerous 03's. It's not gonna be cheap....b
