good evening peoples [at least it is over here]
my 78 is getting the droops in the rrss end and am thinking of having her resprung, is there a specific height from the ground to say the rear bumper
that she should be. also how much trouble is it going to be to remove the
rear spring should i do it myself. i know i can buy off the shelf gear from the states but it takes forever to get here and the propella heads that work in the stores over here usually take 2 or 3 times to get it right.
the front end seems fine all new teflon bushes and shockies + new bushes and shockies in the rear, so i figure it must be the springs, however any info
would be gratefully accepted.
regards ernie.

Ernie, I just did the rear spring on my '71. Not that bad a job. While I had the spring down I cleaned up the frame etc back there. The hardest part of getting the spring down etc was jacking up the ends of the spring to put the end bolts through. I have heard that by replacing the cushions on the ends of the springs you can improve the ride height. Sorry I don;t have the exact height the car should be. I'm traveling and don't have all my reference stuff handy. I'm sure someone will chime in with the correct specs.
