Can anyone help me here, what is the rear stock ride height for a 70 Stingray??

Thanks in advance

Rear ride height is the difference between two measurements - outer camber strut bushing centerline to ground, and inner camber strut bushing centerline to ground (this makes it totally independent of tire/wheel size, indicating only suspension compression); it's called the "D-Height" measurement, and is shown in UPC 4 of the Assembly Manual. The spec is usually around 4".

Thanks to both of you. Tony, what is the reference point for the measurements you gave me?

I set my rear ride height by the 1/2 shafts. I try to get them as parallel to the ground as I can. I use a small magnetic level on them and set the rear so they are level.

Norval, How is the rear height adjusted? Is it the length of the bolt?

The longer the bolt the lower the car. If you nut is backed off all the way then you need a longer bolt to lower the car. Any supply house will have a bolt. I use grade 8 or 9, not more and I forgot if it is 9/16 th or not.
I use coilovers so I don't have to deal with the leaf spring.

Thanks, I'll check out the status of my suspension bolts to see if they are the right length.
