Question: Rear Spring

Anyone know the weight of the steel rear spring that would have been fitted to an 81 with standard suspension and manual trans?
I am going to be removing mine to replace some bushes but would like to have an idea on the weight first.

If memory serves, the steel spring is about 40 pounds.

Mile is right- the steel spring weighs 40 lbs compared to the 8 lb mono-leaf composite spring

It certainly felt like 40lbs. It was a little awkward removing it while the exhaust was still in place too. (Its all one pipe from the headers)
