Good morning folks,

According to my 78 AIM, page 293 indicates my vette is supposed to have a stabilizer shaft attached to the rear spindle support assy. I have been
all over the back end and cannot find the stabilizer shaft???? Is it
possible that I have a different rear suspension system????Or perhaps a PO "bubba" removed it?????

Any and all comments are most certainly appreciated.

For 78, only the optional FE7 cars got the rear bars. Not the best pic, but this car has one just below the bulkhead.

Check your AIM page to see if it says "1Y00 and FE7" in the block in the lower right corner. If so, it means that particular AIM page is applicable only to the FE7 cars.

It's possible a PO could have removed the bar.
:)

As said above, only FE7 had the rear bar.

Clues as to FE7 are:
1) 7-leaf rear spring
2) 1.125" ft. stab. bar

If you have a small front bar and/or a 9-leaf rear spring, your car did not have FE7.
