Rear suspension question:

I recently bought an 89 model with the L98 and Auto trans. I noticed the right rear wheel leaning in slightly at the top and that side felt solid (like a collapsed shock) so I replaced both rear shocks with some gabriels. The ride is much improved but the tire still seems to lean in at the top slightly. Is there another adjustment it needs? Or could is be something needing replaced?
The left side looks perfectly normal, I am the second owner of this car and cannot find any hint of body work.

Considering the car is an 89, the mileage might be somewhat high.

I suggest a rear suspension alignment. You probably need to do the front, as well. A good chassis shop, when it does the alignment, should point-out any suspension parts that need to be repaired or replaced.

Yes, the mileage is 114k. So the rear needs aligning also? I will take it down tommorow and see what they say. Thanks!

Three things I would instantly check.

1) Rear wheel bearing. Jack up the offending wheel and place your hands at 12 and 6. If you can jiggle the wheel back and forth with your hands at this position you probably should be replacing the wheel bearing.

2) The alignment could be out and the camber rod needs adjusting.

3) The bushings in the camber rod could be shot.
