I had the car into my tire dealer today because over the weekend on the Interstate I had a vibration that was speed sensitive. 70 MPH was all I could cumfortable go.

After spinning the tires we discovered that one of the front tires has a slight bulge in it.

When I picked up the car the guy at the desk said that the tire balancer told him I had play in the right rear bearing.

I jacked the car up and used a dial indicator to measure the flex in and out for both rear tires. My readings showed that they were flexing about 7 to 8 thousands as best I could tell. Can anyone tell me what the acceptable movement is.:confused:v

I don't know exactly where your checking the movement John, but if it is at the tire or the edge of the rim,7-8 thousandths would be very little movement at the bearing it's self!!!:thumb
