Hey thanks for the compliments all...I have put SO many hours into the car lately it is good to hear some positives...I have 17x8 tqII's with 245/45/zr17 firestone firehawks on there...really nice ride on them kinda impressive I thought...I would reccomend them to anyone who wants a good tire...but this week I have to guard some generals and such so I have to stop working on the car for now but it will be done probably monday/tuesday I am thinking atleast for the paint part...I am still getting the wheel bearings, transmission kit, and rear gears done...and I have a very small time frame to get it done...I may not do the rear gears right away so I can make auburn...

Thanks,
John Dykstra

I can't wait to see it painted. What color are you going to paint the car? BTW, I love those wheels on the car.

hello all...

well the official name of the color is spectramaster blue...it is a dupont color, but is a really tricky color I think...it turns from dark blueish/purplish depending on the light to almost black I love it...and since I have jammed the car I have had alot of compliments from the guys that I work with in the shop so it will be nice to have it done...but I am really wokring on the auburn idea...this whole "rebuild" of the car has really done wonders to my bank account :)...but hey I am doing my best...I am only 20 years old :) and in college...just gotta convince the national guard to pay me more...btw I love the rims on my car also :)...but ya I have to go guard some generals for a few days but I will be back sunday...

Later,
John Dykstra

Take good care of the Generals :D and hope to see you soon:w

John spectramaster is a very good paint. and i know the color you're going to use. you will be definately happy when you see the color going on. when i did my Harley i used the same dupont color but in a purplr shade that had pearl in it. after it cured i hand glazed it then waxed ..wow did it turn out great.robin
