redoing my '65 convertible and had the vent windows rechromed...have all new seals and weather stripping....are there any tricks to installing the seal/weatherstripping on the inside of the frame where the glass goes...as far as positioning, etc. and what to use to drive it in the groove...how about any type of lube first to make it easier...thanks for any tips...fred

I have not done what you are describing but any time I need to lube some thing like rubber i just use some liguid car wash soap with water,I also keep it in a spray bottle

I also have a hammer handel I purchased years ago it is to a tax hammer (something a shoe maker would use) it is perfect for having to drive something fragile into place.I geuss a strong wood dowel would do the same.

I can suggest while you have your doors apart is to remove the latching mecanism and and soak them in a car of carb cleaner to remove all of the old grease then re lube them I did that to my car and they latch as if it was a new car now.
