While scrounging around in my recently acquired '89, I came across a high performance chip called "ADS Supervette Peformance Chip". It appears to be in its original box and is sealed in plastic inside the box. For those of you who've bought somewhat unwanted Corvettes with mongrel backgrounds like I have, I am sure that you will understand the preverse pleasure of these discoveries (old speeding tickets under the seats, receipts from weird places, including one "men's club" in far away states, etc.---reminds me of the movie "Christine"). Anyhow, does anyone know anything about this ADS company or its "Supervette" product. I am tempted to try it out, but .....It seems familiar, but I cannot place it.

Thanks,

I've got the same chip for my 86, that was installed by a previous owner. I'm not sure they're still in business; if they are, they're just making Rustang chips now.

I'll be honest. My car has high mileage, but by its performance at the strip I would NEVER have thought there was a "performance" chip installed. I'd put it on eBay...

And yes, I loved finding old business cards (pay stubs!) and credit card (!) receipts under the seats. Bonus was when I opened the storage compartment behind the seat and found the original owner's manual (which the other guy claimed he never had), extra caps for the lug nuts, AND the front plate cover!

Nice :D

I am about to install new carpet and seats in about a month time.
( items getting shipped next week)

I will be sniffing like a dog to find me some goodies :)
what I already found in previous cars are some foreign currency, paperclips a comb and a pair a sunglasses

Gee. I was cheated. I fjust ound a burn-thru from the Y-pipe.

Thanks, everyone. I, too, am in the process of changing out the well worn gray interior to black (new carpet, used black seats I have been fixing up, new other bits and pieces) so may find some more treasures soon. I will probably not put this chip in, though.
