Saw two B2Ks at dealer auction Monday, 3/15. Sorry, I don't have the car numbers, but I do have the VINS:

1G1YY338XM5110568 is a 91 Aerobody vert, dark red metallic with hardtop and black soft top, black interior; 6,380 miles, no Dymags, rolling on Boyd's billets. Very clean. Ask was over $40k, there were no takers.

1G1YY2184H5121407 is an 87 coupe, 2-tone silver over gray, medium gray interior, with 32,893 miles; 4+3, on 16" black Dymags. Showing some wear, but nothing out of line; a bit grimy underhood. I am capital-K kicking myself for not buying it - sold for $19,100.

Anyone know if the silver '87 with the black 16" Dymags was the one on the Callaway site for a while?

Where was the auction? thanks!

The auction was an all-Corvette event at Manheim's Florida Auto Auction at Ocoee, FL (near Orlando). There were a few hundred Corvettes. Lots of the cars belonged to McDorman Chevy in Ohio. I think this may have been the Callway site car; it's no longer listed.

Dark red car sounds like the one that Stoudts had last year (Series 500 car) that was also at Carlisle last Summer...

Gray 2 tone car is more than likely the one that was on the Callaway site, as it had recently showed up in Florida - Interesting point, the "owner" was offered more money than the 19k it sold for, less than 2 weeks ago on what could have been a bonafide sale...

B2k

B2K Was the factory RPO fot the Callaway Twin Turbo Corvette. If you checked off that option it was treated to a host of specific parts and then sent to Old Lyme Ct for the rest of the work. RPO B2K= Callaway Twin Turbo Corvette

B-2K's

I keep watching that 91 Burgandy car but is still a little strong $$$$ for me and still would prefer an 89 B-2K convert. I still like that interior. time will tell. What is the difference on the 500 series of Callaways and how many of these cars are there?:confused The first I remember hearing about the 500 series cars was the magazine article that had Reeves and John Lingenfelter and a stock ZR-1 and a stock LT-1 doing a road test.:upthumbs

Callaway4fun -

Thank you for the info. I was searching around and found out what it was shortly after I posted the question. Afterwards, I kinda felt like :duh . I guess the old saying is true, There aren't any stupid questions, only stupid people.;LOL ;LOL ;LOL Thanks again!!!

the burgundy car has jumped quite a bit over the past 4 years... It had been at 59k, 69k, 105k :eek and then again at 45k, 54k, and on & on...

I have seen this car up close & in person and the overall condition is extremely nice (the hardtop looked as if it may have been repainted though - had weird scuff marks in the "prep" that others I have seen, don't show, hmm...

That car probably could have sold ten times over, if it had Dymags or the OZ's that many 91's wore as listening to folks at Carlisle last Summer, that was the concensus.

I too remember that road test in Automobile Magazine...

8 "Series 500 cars" were made, that one for sale I think is #5

B-2K's for sale

Well if the burgandy 91 was a little closer on $$$ I would have a good home for my Dymags. :D Iam getting close to changing tires on them anyhow, the BFG's are getting rather hard with age, :( even though they still have good tread. Have been watching the post on the Wheel Shoppe and debating if I want to have them redone before putting on new rubber. This hobby is always good for spending that extra $$ Might be a good time to put some differant ie. not quite so rare wheels on my current driver.:Steer Anyhow the CAC is sure helping my Callaway education.:upthumbs

wanna sell those wheels?

Sorry Josh:
I bought those wheels because I could'nt swing the cars 10 years ago. Iam still crying about the 3 I did'nt buy at Bloomington about that time for 250$:cry If I knew then what I know now. Anyway it is still fun looking for parts it's just keeps changing.
