I have one question. I have a 93 totally stock, and I want to increase the performance yet keep it a daily driver. What performance upgrades would you recommend?

Exhaust would be number one. Not only could you feel it, but you (and other motorists) can hear it. It seems to be a much more tangible mod.

I agree with Edmond in that an exhaust is a great beginning mod along with a higher flowing air induction system. One thing too to add to the exhaust is a hi flow cat.converter. Also I have not seen many good things come from aftermarket chips/programmers for these Vettes. I personally would stay away from them. If you keep the mods simple yet effective the factory chip will compensate for the extra airflow. Just my .02

Exhaust and/or Aftermarket ignition. Im a huge fan of MSD products and they give very good increases in acceleration and fuel mileage.

Looks like you have the opti-spark and I've been told that playing with the timing won't make as much as a difference as the L98.

But remember this: increasing the performance of your Vette' is like building a good wardrobe, it takes time, money and won't be done overnight.

Hey stop messin around strap a supercharger to it DONE!

Hehehe

Those are my plans in the near future for my vette. It doesn't get any easier. I plan to put a PRO CHARGER in my vette, I just need to get the 5 grand.

Considering the fact that an internal-combustion engine is basically an air pump, the most important performance upgrades should consist of an unrestricted, free-flowing intake and exhaust system. There are many choices immediately apparent, but my personal preference is for K&N Filters and Flowmaster Mufflers. Opening up an engine to freer-breathing will give you anywhere from 10-20 horsepower probably.

Another relatively easy way to better performance would be to switch to a lower (higher numerically) final gear in the third member.

Many more will respond to this post before long, and you will receive many more tips on how to extract the maximum performance for your Corvette, and get the best bang-for-the-buck as well. :upthumbs

Do you guys even look for another post that may contain the same information you seek? Here's a perfect example, another 1993 Corvette owner looking for performance upgrades: http://corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19312

Maybe you all want individually answered questions? :L
