No it doesnt . . my restoration guide (adams) doesnt show any of the lower redline tachs . . . but I have a 50th anniversary corvette book that shows an original 64 coupe with the same tach as I have . . . I wonder if the base SB had this tach? Any 64 owners out there have my tach?? The restoration guide mentions only two tachs . . . as you have stated c5d.
I owned previously ´64 coupe with L75 300hp 327cid engine. Cars with 250and 300hp engine (base and L75) yellow area is from 5000 to 5300 rpm and orange aree is from 5300 to 5500 rpm. In high hp engines (L76 and L84) ylleow area is from 6300 to 6500 rpm and orange area is from 6500 to 7000 rpm.
One thing more. You can check exhaustpipe diameter. All 250hp cars and 300hp cars with Powerglide pipe diameter is 2". In 300hp cars with manual trans I think it is 2.5". I am not totaly sure for this detail at 1964 cars, but 1965 it it that way. Only place where you can check this one is center exhaust hanger. Usually no one will change it if they upgrade their system from 2" to 2.5".
