Refinished steering wheels any good ?

Search doesn't seem to be working. Has anyone tried the rebuilt steering wheels offered by ecklers, mid-america etc. ? How did you like it ?

If it's just the outside edge that's bad on yours, have you considered a decent cover? I'm quite happy with the Wheelskins I bought about a year ago. Two-tone black and tan leather to match the interior, easy install, and about $35 shipped. Did a writeup in the KB.

It does not cover the spokes, though, so if they're messed up this isn't a good solution.

Hey theres a few places that recover those wheels.I use a guy here in the Atlanta area.The place is called Corvette Originals.Mid America and eclers just send them out,they dont do them in house.

They are great and if the guy is Chuck Pelton. He may be the same guy who sold me one at Carlile Penn. Not only did sell a wheel he installed it on my car in about ten minutes. I think i paid 175 for wheel.
