I have a 05 C6, its just over a year old now. I never had this problem before, but now when I put the fuel nozzle in and set the lock after about 30 seconds it clicks off and I need to wait a minute before I can set it again to restart fueling. I thought it might just be that pump, so I tried others and several other different gas stations. Anyone else have this problem?

The nozzle is holding itself in the fill tube at an angle where it is splashing gas back on the sensor in the end of the nozzle and prematurely shutting it off. Next time try this.....set the pump nozzle locked open (pump is running)( in the car :eyerole ) while you are holding the nozzle up. Do this for a minute then let it down (not holding the nozzle) while it is till pumping locked and see if it shuts off...usually the angle of the nozzle in the fill tube makes the nozzle splash on itself and shuts it off...kinda closes it off...Thats my 1/2 a cent...:D

I too have noticed this, the splash back cuts off the flow, I now hold the nozzle same as waterboy1976 with the trigger handle facing almost upwards (like 10 past on the clock) rather than the normal downwards.
Hope this helps!!

I noticed that when I fuel my 2006 that once the gas nozzle clicks off thats just about all you are going to get into the tank. My 2003 I could pump for a while after the nozzle cut off.
After reading this discussion it may be that the c6's either have an 'ackward' fill tube or a slow vent.

Its best not to over-fill the tank. Most manufacturers say once the pump stops, so should you!!!

You must be joking, in the UK now it costs $120 to fill a tank on a C6, who'd want to risk spilling even a drop!!!:cry

They are talking about it prematurely shutting off after about 1 gallon is pumped in.
It happens with my C6 also.
