Hi,
My battery was disconnected for a couple hours today and after it was reattached the remote lock/unlock does not work. It worked fine till then and I changed the battery in it to be safe. Does something need to be set or programmed? If so how? Any help would be appreciated...

Guess I should have searched first... Thanks Allthebest, c4c5

Hi there,
If you just stand next to the fuel filler door, and hold the lock and unlock button on a remote, you should hear a horn sound after about 20 seconds.
Then, repeat the procedure for the second one, and you should be just fine.

Me Too!

Hey, thanks for the fix on remote keyless entry devices not working!

My battery went dead while my 2000 coupe was in storage all winter and I ended up with 3 electrical problems when restarting it a few days ago.

1) The steering column went into 'security' lock, complete with engine shutdown when going forward (but it seemed to be intermittent);

2) The two keyfobs didn't work at all when pressing any of the buttons (now fixed, thank you); and

3) the remote tire pressure gauge readings don't appear on the dashboard display (they did on my first short ride, but quit on the second ride the same day).

After I just now fixed the remote entry keyfobs and then had no trouble with steering column lock, if she was just looking for 'proper' door entry using a keyfob button push? After all, column lock is a security feature, right?

Thanks Again,

Bob :bu
