Unlatch the two securing straps by releasing the tabs at the top of the airbox cover. This is where the air filter element holder slides upward. Remove the airfilter holder and element. From the front of the car, look down into the gap at the bottom of the hood at the front of the airbox cover with a flashlight. Push the airbox cover back toward the engine, about 2/3rd of the way down the front of the airbox cover you will see two securing pins that hold the airbox cover in place. CAREFULLY take a long screwdriver into the gap between the airbox cover and the front panel that the two mounting pins are located. If you get close enough to the posts just twist the screwdriver, that usually releases the rubber grommet from the mounting post. Then do the other side. Once the airbox is removed from the two post, it can be removed from under the hood by pulling upward. When you reinstall the airbox cover, spray some windex or just water onto the two posts and rubber grommets. It makes the cover easier to slide onto the posts. Just be careful when your working around the painted surfaces in front.
