Does anyone have a way of removing the cushions from my 80 (78 to 82 ) other than the normal pushing in on the sides. This becomes difficult when the seats are removed from the car. Also any suggestions on putting them back other than normal way would be appreciated. Thanks , Fred

Fred,

I took mine out of the car to remove the cushions as I thought it was much easier. The wire slides under a clip in the bucket. I know of no other way but to slide them out toward the center of the bucket. As far as putting them back in Nut suggested using a flat blade screwdriver lubed with KY so as not to damage the new cushion. Cushions in/out took me under an hour, bolted back in another 30 minutes or so. Good luck!!!

Thanks for the lube suggestion. I've got them out and recovered but not looking forward to pushing the wires back in the clips. Thanks again, Fred

Took me 15 minutes with needlenose pliers.
