I have a "99 coupe and I need to change the drivers weatherstrip on the removeable top. I would like to do it myself but I am not sure how it is attached. Can anyone out there give me some information about installing this? Does the top have to be disassembled for this? If so, can I do it at home? Thanks for your help.

Hi there,
If you are just changing the weatherstrip, then it is a Posidrive 2 fastener on the end of the strip, you should be able to see it.
Also, peel back the strip after you remove the screw, as it has very sticky material on each end to seal it to the top.
There will be NO GLUE on the back of the weatherstrip and none is needed. Just the material on the end.
The new weatherstrip, if from GM, will already have the sealant on the ends.
