Need help! What is the proper way to remove a quarter panel from a 1984 corvette? I need to replace my right rear quarter panel on my vette. I foundf one (used) but the guy who has it says he does not know how to remove it! ( A side note I am buying a bumper cover from him and he is installing a 91 buimper cover and quarter panels on his 1984 vette. ) He told me if I can get it off so he can install the 91 he would give it to me for free!!! please help! Thank you .

It is bonded on ,
I don't know that there is a correct way except very carefully starting at one end and breaking the glue loose where it is bonded to the rollbar. Is not attached anywhere else except with braces
All the C4 1/4 panels are the same except for ZR-1 so you don't need to change if only doing the bumper upgrade

Thanks for the reply! I do need the quarter panel, I split mine in an accident :( I was putting the car in storage and wecked! My brother told me to just cut it off with a very thin grinding wheel?

Many 84 owners also complained that the edge cracks from the corner where the glass edge closes in a vertical line. Mine does ;-(
GM issued a TSB regarding removing and strenghtening the rear quarter so it doesnt keep cracking.
I just looked for it but ever since we moved I have problems finding my materials! I'll keep looking though. Eventually it will be on our website. corvettearchives.com
